Are you adding value?
In tough economic times, it's even more important to find novel ways to entice clients to use your services. All too often, emotional and physical well-being is seen as a low priority, so it's important to persuade clients that they really do need a massage / reflexology / acupuncture etc.
So here are a few ideas to help you add value to your treatment:
Consider a 'loyalty' scheme - for example, if your client has 10 full paying sessions, the next one is half price or even free if you're feeling generous
Consider offering a reward for a referral - if your client's referral pays for three sessions in full, give your client a half price or free session
Offer a free massage blend, or a free ten minute 'bonus' session to everyone booking in June
Be inventive, for instance, if you help people with sleep problems, offer them a packet of 'night time blend' herbal tea to help them sleep.
Show you care
Imagine Debs' surprise and amusement when her elderly mum was delighted to receive a birthday card from a Mail Order catalogue company - "That was really kind of them, fancy them remembering my birthday!" Debs knew that it was churned out by a computer with a massive database of information. But Debs' mum didn't know that, and the birthday card increased her loyalty to the company.
We know you care because you're a therapist and you're a therapist because you care. So, why not show you care?
If you don't do it already, keep a record of your clients' birthdays and diarise to send them birthday cards, as long as confidentiality isnt an issue.
If, as often happens, a client drifts away after cancelling their most recent appointment, drop them a quick card or email to ask them how they're doing - not a hard sell, just a gentle nudge!
Take action to add value.
