Getting the most from Twitter Chats

We're both great fans of Twitter.

If you're new to Twitter, or want to get more local exposure for yourself, then a great way to do it is to 'tune in' to special '#hours' chat hours that run on particular topics.  Some are based on geographic regions - these are often business related and you can often unashamedly promote your business "Hi guys, please Like my business page" or "I'm running a special offer this week":

#Guildfordhour

#DevonHour

Some are therapy based and are obviously more focused on the therapy itself:

#reflexologyhour

#Acupuncturehour

Some have a wider remit and can provide inspiration as well as a chat forum:

#HolHealthHour

#CharityHour

The idea is that you can 'chat' on these forums, exchange ideas or ask questions. With the bigger forums it can be a very frenzied hour trying to keep up with all the different strands.

Get involved locally

We recommend that you find your local town / region's #hour and start participating. Start by 'Favouriting' other people's comments, retweeting their Tweets and following them. Then start responding to other people's Tweets.

You'll soon start to get noticed and before you know it the next time someone is thinking of having a massage or help with anxiety, you'll be front of mind.

As we always say, other business people are great advocates for your business, so get involved.

Take Action - get involved with a specialist Twitter #hour in your area!
