Promoting your Special Promotion
Make the most of Christmas
Offering gift vouchers for people to give as Christmas presents is, of course, a tried and tested way of boosting sales in December.
There's plenty of evidence that 'experiential' gifts are becoming more and more popular. These days the trend is away from 'stuff' and more towards special events or activities. There's never been a better time to push your therapy as the perfect gift.
Getting the message out there
But, how do you get the message out there? How do you reach people who wouldn't necessarily use your services, but are looking for a gift for that special someone?
Here are some free or low cost ways to promote your special offer:
Tweet and/or post on Facebook
Put an A5 poster in local newsagents/post offices
Send a press release to local publications
Email current and former clients suggesting they put your gift vouchers on their Christmas Present list
If you have some scope in your marketing budget, consider organising a door-to-door leaflet drop. 1,000 good quality A5 flyers should cost around £30 to print and £30-£40 to deliver (or you could deliver them yourself). Have a strong call to action, include a 'valid until' date and remember to double-check your contact details.
General promotional leaflets will typically yield 1 or 2 responses per 1,000 leaflets delivered, but you can expect a better response from a special offer promotion. You only need to sell 1 or 2 gift vouchers for the promotion to pay for itself, the recipient may even become a regular client and of course you'll be increasing awareness.
