Keep the energy flowing

Self-care is so important when you are a therapist.

You need to be in a good head space to be able to give your best to your clients, so it's vital that you take good care of yourself.

We are programmed to get a buzz from social interaction, which means if you are working in a clinic where you and the other therapists are like ships in the night, you need to find ways to mix with fellow humans.

Here are some of our favourite solutions:

 Go to CPD events or conferences - fantastic for re-energising and re-enthusing

 Attend regular supervision if relevant - great for honing clinical skills and being in a mutually supportive environment

 Set up a monthly informal get-together with two or three other therapists - remember to keep the chatting nicely positive

 Go along to local talks - whether therapy related or not

 Set up a 'spa' day with other therapists where you swap treatments

What's that got to do with marketing?

Well, when you feel good, others around you feel good, and clients will be attracted to you because of the sense of mental well-being that you radiate.

Whatever you choose to do, enjoy yourself!

Take Action to do something that makes you feel good
